Franconian manufacturer of industrial adhesives invests in the hygiene and agricultural supplies business areas
Greußenheim/Würzburg, June 12, 2024 - The GLUETEC GROUP, renowned manufacturer of industrial adhesives and sealants with headquarters in Greußenheim near Würzburg and production center WIKO POLAND in Częstochowa/Poland, announces that it has officially acquired the long-established Austrian company LABU Hygiene GmbH from Ottensheim, including the production site Laboratorium Buchrucker Hygiene GmbH in Schwäbisch Hall-Hessental, Germany, as of June 12, 2024.
Originally founded in 1896 by the pharmacist Friedrich Buchrucker in Linz/Austria, LABU HYGIENE GMBH today serves customers from the agricultural and industrial sectors with LABU branded products for dairy cattle/claw care, animal feed/zeolite, horse supplies, industrial hygiene, pest control and personal hygiene.
LABU Managing Director Swen Herborn justifies the sale of the company with health reasons and comments on the company's move as follows: "I am pleased that our company is moving forward and that we can join the innovative product portfolio of the GLUETEC GROUP with our products. I will actively support the company in its restructuring."

Following the company takeover and strategic realignment, only the site in Schwäbisch Hall/Hessental will be retained; the Austrian site will be closed.
